North East Snagging is accredited by the RPSA which enables us to conduct pre- completion inspections on new build homes following NHBQ guidance.
The New Homes Quality Code means that as a new home buyer, you are entitled to a Pre-Completion Inspection before you legally complete the purchase of your new home. New build home developers across the North East that have signed up to the code must make sure that Customers are aware that they have the right to a pre completions inspection if required.

Cumbria Snagging, a subsidiary of North East Snagging, possesses accreditation from the RPSA, enabling us to perform pre-completion inspections on newly constructed homes in accordance with NHBQ guidelines.
All our inspectors hold membership with the RPSA.
Under the New Homes Quality Code, prospective buyers of new homes are entitled to a Pre-Completion Inspection prior to finalising the purchase. Developers of new homes in Cumbria who have subscribed to this code are obligated to inform customers of their right to request a pre-completion inspection, if desired.
What exactly is a pre-completion inspection?
A pre completion inspection is similar to a snagging inspection but is conducted before you complete the sale of your home. This however is much more limited inspection to a snagging inspection.

However, we as a professional snagging company have to follow a certain criteria and checklist issued by the NHQB which you can see here. This means we are more limited to what we can inspect in comparison to a snagging inspection.
To conduct a PCI a snagging company must be accredited by either RPSA or RICS and have the required amount of professional indemnity insurance.
North East snagging is fully accredited by the RPSA allowing us to conduct pre completion inspection across the North East.
Both inspections will provide you and your builder with a snagging report with images. However we do advise clients to get a snagging report as this is a more comprehensive inspection.
